I first came across this concept when I waited table at TGI Friday. We were told that we are all entrepreneur, because the way we serve a customer will determinetheir level of satisfaction and in return, the tips given as well.

In case it's not a tips, it's good words :-)

I believe being self-employed means we have more capacity to "affect ourselves".

Because it is purely a result based work.

As for employment, we are still "competing" for "good assessment" among other employees.

And it is a win-lose environment to a certain extend. Because companies have limits in money to spend, so if another person gets more salary raise, somebody else is getting less.

But in the end, our work is still affecting ourselves :-)
