Stop buying stuff you don’t need
15 Mar
Annie Leonard created a film and also released a book about the true cost of our consumerism on the nature and human beings. It’s a story that shows why we should stop buying stuff (at least less of them) because it is simply unsustainable.
Take 20 minutes and watch the film below and it will change your perceptive of things you use everyday.
For those who are interested, here’s the book.

It’s about what you need not what you want. But most people get what they want XD
When left to someone to define what is needed & what they want, the line is often so blurred that it becomes futile. Is hobby a need or a want? Then the floodgates open. LOL. Another eg, DiGi iPhone or Nokia N900? Both coming soon (N900 this month), & you need a phone, but do you need a high end phone? Heck since I’m buying a phone I might as well get the best right? Then it goes on & on & on….
Wow, i remember watching this in my uni days….-.-”’
Great stuff… good thing Msia is way behind the USA on that…
I wonder though would the US economy tank if ppl decided not to be materialistic
great stuff to share for economic class.
Glad you all like this. My default response to buying stuff now is no. But it’s really easy to convince yourself that you really really need it thou.
Well..I agree with u! xD
an irony to ur latest post, bev.
Ngeheheheh! xD Cant help it…
True, true…
Picture this: you have been sitting inside your hotel room for hours; CNN or BBC have been cycling the same news every 20 minutes. Ah..bored:you decide to just go walk around the mall just to get rid of the boredom and have some exercise…and then got ambushed by a nice shirt, jacket or thingmajig. Sounds familiar? I got things in my attic I don’t even remember buying..or wearing. Geee.
